Aged Care Visiting Scheme

The Aged Care Visiting program aims to empower people who are lonely and isolated in Aged Care facilities.

KLC coordinates with over seven Aged Care Facilities and supports volunteers who are matched with participants.

Visits are held at various Aged Care Facilities within the local area. Depending upon the resident’s needs, some volunteers visit once a week or once a fortnight for one hour. Families and staff members from the facilities are very appreciative of these valuable visits.

The aim is to enrich the quality of life of people residing in aged care facilities who may be lonely or socially or culturally isolated. The program matches volunteers to residents and requests the volunteer to visit the resident at least once a fortnight for an hour.
